 | Senior Choir Junior
Choir
 | St
John's Lutheran strives to use a wide variety of musicians to enrich
the worship experience. Two organized choirs routinely help to lead
worship and prepare anthems. These groups are made up entirely of
volunteers, and their dedication to the music ministry is
invaluable.
The youngest group
is the Junior Choir, for children in grades 3-12.
This group rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 - 7:30.
Our
adult group, the Senior Choir, rehearses on Wednesday evenings from
7:30 - 8:45.
In
addition to our choirs, we like to use the talents of
instrumentalists, soloists and small ensembles.
We
hope to create an environment whereby all who have been blessed with
musical gifts may share those gifts with the worshiping community to
the glory of God!

Rehearsal on Tuesday, at
6:30 P.M. |

The Praise Band:
worships at 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd and 5th Sunday. Praise Service is open for vocals
and instrumentalist through the audition process. The Praise Band is
the most cutting edge of all the groups with guitar, drums, piano,
keyboard, and other instrumentalists when available. This is a place
for serious musicians who enjoy Christian rock music, are dedicated
to a substantial rehearsal schedule, and who are more familiar with
microphone technique and have an ear for harmey. |

Our Organ
Our Present Organ
.........is a 1915 Moller
Pipe Organ consisting of 9 ranks of pipes. It has given us an
increasing amount of problems of late and accoudinory, the
congregation decided to remove it and replace it with A Buch-Walker
all digital instrument.
The New Organ
........ has the equivalent of 40 ranks of pipes, and it is
indistinguishable from A real pipe organ. A digitally
reproduced Aeolian-Skinner stops pipe organ, the "Cadillac" of
pipe organs, was recorded to provide the sound. The new organ will
provide new sound, such as the trumpet, and it has the capability of
interfacing with the electronic piano and can be pre-set, with no
organist present to play. The instrument will cost the Church about
$54,000.00 all of which has already been contribed by our members or
from assets on hand.
A special feature of this
change is that the appearance of our historic and beautiful sanctuary
will not be altered in the least. We shell continue to use our
present console and the exterior pipes on the organ chamber will remain in place.
