STEWARDS OF ST. JOHN’S
Once again, we face a deficit in giving to the Current/Operating Fund as we close out 2006. In order to end the year “in the black”, Pastor is asking every household to match his gift of an extra $100 to Current before December 31. If we all do that, we can wipe out the shortfall and start 2007 in good financial shape. Please help if you can. Thank you.
CHECK OUT
…Amanda McConnell’s homemade Thanksgiving card to St. John’s, which is posted on the tower bulletin board. Amanda is a first-year student at Wartburg Seminary, and she is preparing for a calling to the ordained ministry in the Lutheran Church.

ON THANKSGIVING EVE
…50 people worshiped at the Reformed Church, and 20 of them were St. Johners. They gave $102 to the Food Bank as an offering. Pastor led the service due to Pastor Rader’s need to tend her husband at the hospital. It was revealed that $8,840 had been raised at this year’s CROP Walk, with $2,210 of that going to the local food bank.
