THANKS, PASTOR RUBY…

…for again filling our pulpit this Sunday.

THE COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE…

…will be held at our church on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.  Pastors from all 4 town churches will lead the worship, and lots of special music will be presented by our choir, Keith, The Rehkuglers, and other musicians.  An offering will be received for the Food Bank and Shelter and the Crop Walk results will be related.  After the service, there will be a nice reception in the parlor.  Please attend and support your church’s hosting of this community event.

WORKERS ARE NEEDED…

…at 8:30 on Saturday morning, to stuff the advent wreath and help hang the symbol of the season.  Bring along a clipper and some gloves.  Thanks!

THANKS TO ALL THE SUPPORT…

…from about 25 St. Johners who attended the “Voices For Hope” concert last Sunday evening at Zion Lutheran in Leola.  There were 275 people in attendance and $1500.18 was collected for Disaster Relief.  The money will go to ELCA since all the churches that performed were Lutheran.  They will also get matching funding from Thrivent.

PASTOR RETURNS…

…to the USA this afternoon, after his vacation in Great Britain.  He will attend his birthday dinner with his sister’s family and return to the parsonage tonight.  Then, he has 2 days remaining in his vacation time to do laundry, go through the mail, restock the pantry, get caught up on sleep, and cuddle the cats.  He goes back on duty on the 23rd.
