FALL PHILLY TRIP!

Connie Longenecker has placed a hand-out atop the radiator in the tower narthex that details a wonderful trip that is planned for September 24th, from 8 AM until about 9:30 PM. We will fill the church van (two seats remain unclaimed at this printing) and then start making up a car caravan.  The trip includes visits to Augustus Lutheran Church, the Muhlenberg graves, the Muhlenberg House, the Trappe Museum, the home of the first speaker of the US Congress, the Philadelphia Seminary, and Germantown. It also includes two meals: one at an Oktoberfest in Trappe, and the other at the historic Blue Pony Inn of Montgomery County.  Cost per person is about $60 - $75. SIGN UP TODAY IF YOU WANT TO GO ALONG---BUT DEFINITELY BY SEPTEMBER 4. Any questions, talk to Connie or Pastor. The reason for the trip is to celebrate the 300th birthday of Pastor Henry Melchior Muhlenberg, who organized the Lutheran Church in America and ministered to the people of our congregation in 1769!

THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED….

…at the Food Bank on August 24th. Your efforts helped to feed 75 needy neighbors! Thanks to: Pat Vogel, Denny and Willie Weller, Tanner and Kaycee Shirk, Charlie Johns, Rose Leas, and Pastor.
