NEXT SUNDAY…
…we shall hold our Annual Outdoor Service together with the Reformed Church, under the shade of the Union Cemetery Grove. The Reformed Church will design and lead the service; they will also serve a post-service snack. Pastor Lescallette will preach and our church will set up the equipment and chairs. Bring a lawn chair if you like, but seating will be available for the first 60 or so. Head usher please note: Pastor needs help setting up stuff at 9:15.
STARTING SEPTEMBER 11…
…Sunday School will resume at it’s regular time – 9:00 am, the Traditional Service will continue to be held at 10:30 am, and the Contemporary Service will be moved up to 6:00 pm, with a Food n’ Fellowship time placed after the service, for those who care to patronize it.
The change in the evening schedule is being made in hopes that it will attract more young families to our worship, who found the present schedule too late for little ones, and teens who need to do homework in preparation for school the next day. The new service time should enable families and individuals to leave church around 6:45 – 7:00 pm. People who wish to stay and converse with friends and share a light snack may do so after the service rather than before. Give it a try and tell us what you think!
WITH SINCERE THANKS
To all for the cards, phone calls, flowers, and get well wishes you extended to John why in the hospital and recovering at home. God bless you all, John & Rose Leas.

WELCOME PASTOR TIETBOHL!
Our guest minister on July 31 and August 21 is the Rev. Augustus Valentine Tietbohl, a Lutheran clergyman who moved to Lititz’s Luther Acres last year and who retired from parish ministry in 1990. Pastor Tietbohl is a native of Williamsport, PA (where he was a member of Messiah Lutheran) and he was graduated from two bastions of Lutheranism, Susquehanna University and Gettysburg Seminary. (He left the Selinsgrove college the year of Pastor Lescallette’s birth!) He served parishes in Philadelphia and Nanticoke, but spent 28 years as shepherd of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Saucon Valley, near Hellertown (and Bethlehem). Following retirement, he was visitation pastor at St. Matthew’s in Perkassie for 13 years. Married to Josephine Kammerer in 1953, the couple just celebrated 52nd wedding anniversary! The Tietbohls have 3 children and several grandchildren. The enjoy gardening, reading, and travel. We welcome Pastor Tietbohl to our neighborhood of the Church!

ALL SUNDAY SCHOOL HELPERS!
Remember to come to our important meeting on Wednesday night at 7:30. Missy will share the new curriculum with you and we will talk about the new computer workshop.
