WELCOME VISITORS!
We extend a hearty welcome to all of our visitors this morning and invite you to worship with us any time. Please sign one of the guest books as you enter or leave the service, and we will have a small gift to give you. The guest books are located in the vestibule and hallway, right outside the Sanctuary. Ask an usher or any member if you need further directions or any help. We’re glad you are with us!
ANNUAL JUNE CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
Announcement is hereby made of the next Congregational Meeting, which will be held between the Sunday morning worship services from about 10:15 AM to 10:40 AM on June 18, 2006. We must approve the audit and elect four deacons. Those nominated by Council are: Ryan Boccagno, Ruth Sweitzer, Pat Vogel, and Paul Woodward.
THE AFTER CHURCH FOR LUNCH BUNCH
…invites all to join our merry band for a delightful afternoon of food and fellowship with your family in Christ – this Sunday or any Sunday. We gather in the elevator lobby at 11:45 AM, decide where to go, and leave at noon aboard the 13 seat church van. (Each person pays his or her own way and we split the cost of gas.) Those who wish to join us, but who attend only the traditional service, may return to church to board the van OR if you live in Maytown, Pastor will be happy to pick you up at your house…it’s no trouble – we’d sooner have you with us! Just tell Pastor if you want picked up, as you leave church.
THE MAYTOWN HISTORICAL SOCIETY
…invites all it’s members to join in a picnic at the museum yard on Tuesday of this week, at 6 PM. Bring along a covered side dish or dessert to share.
ALL FATHERS
…who attend either worship service next Sunday will be given a gift of chocolate from our Social Ministry Committee.
COUNCIL MEMBERS ARE REMINDED
…that you will be installed in office on Sunday, June 25th, at 10:15 AM (between the services.) Those who are continuing in office are asked to attend and renew your vows with the four new deacons.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADS!
We rejoice, with many of our youth, as they graduate from high school and prepare for a new chapter in their lives. Our graduates include:
From Donegal – Kelsey Hafer, Valedictorian!!!
Ryan Nell
Kim Nichols
Alana Baker
Ani Leonhart
Berlin Smith
From Elizabethtown – Chad Funk
God Bless you all! (If we missed anyone, please forgive us and let us know of the oversight!)
REICH’S CHURCH OFFERS SOUVENIER
Our neighbors at Reich’s Church in Chickentown, are celebrating their 150th anniversary this year. They invite anyone who would like to purchase a woodblock model of the church to contact Pastor Dan Blank. (The models are made by the same craftsman who makes the Maytown series, but they are not part of that series, which is sold by the Historical Society.)
NEWSLETTER DEADLINE
If you want to contribute an article to the July-August newsletter, please see that Diane gets it by June 25th.
VBS VOLUNTEERS
We still need helpers with our VBS this year. If you will help, see Colleen Mackison, Laura Wolfe, or Pastor. The school is scheduled for July 31 – August 4.
