Come forward via the center aisle in two lines. The choir, followed by the “Luther window” side of the church, commune moving right, and return to the loft and their pews via the side aisle; the “Christ window” side of the church move left to commune and return via the side aisle. The balcony may use either line, whichever is shortest. Take the host from the Pastor or Deacon and dip it into the chalice held by an acolyte.
All who are baptized, who believe that Christ is present in this communion meal, feeding the faithful, forgiving our sins, and strengthening us for living as disciples of Christ, are welcome to share in the Lord’s Supper. The un-baptized, very young children and those who do not wish to commune may come forward for a blessing or stay seated.

COMING SOON – MUSICALE ’07!
Mark your calendars and, tell your family and friends! St. John’s will again put on a gala evening of music on Memorial Day, starting at 7:30 PM. A dozen singers are preparing solos, duets, and ensemble pieces; and we shall again have a sing-along and a salute to the Veterans present. This year’s offering will go toward supplying personal care items to our wounded troops from the Iraq and Afghanistan fronts. The evening will conclude with strawberries and ice cream.

The Catechetical class holds its last class of its first year of study today. Year II will begin on September 16, 2007. Thanks to all our students for their faithful attendance.
