THE WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
THE CONFESSION OF SINS AND WORD OF FORGIVENESS
(All rise, please.)
PASTOR: Trusting in the Word of Life given in Baptism, we are gathered in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
PEOPLE: AMEN
PASTOR: By our Baptism into the death and resurrection of Christ, God raised us to new life. Let us confess to God our sins and all that waits for resurrection in our lives.
(Silence for reflection.)
PASTOR: God of Love,
All: WE FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THE WITNESS OF THE RESURRECTION: WE RESIST YOUR UNFAILING LOVE FOR US AND FOR OTHERS, AND WE TURN OUR BACKS ON THE GIFT OF NEW LIFE, CHOOSING, INSTEAD, THE OLD WAY OF SIN, THE WAY THAT TAKES US AWAY FROM YOU AND LEADS US BACK TOWARD DEATH. FREE US FROM THIS POWER OF SIN, GUIDE US BY YOUR SPIRIT, AND HELP US IN OUR WEAKNESS, THAT WE MAY LIVE AS YOUR CHILDREN, RESTORED TO NEW AND EVERLASTING LIFE. AMEN.
PASTOR: By God’s Grace, you are forgiven and born anew. May you be strengthened daily with the power to walk in God’s light and love.
ALL: AMEN.

UP-DATE ON PASTOR’S DAD
Pastor and his sister picked up their dad and his wife at BWI Airport on Monday and drove them to Washington DC (Rockville). That night, Mr. Lescallette had his first test, and MRI, at The National Institute of Health, in Bethesda, and got back to the motel around midnight. Tuesday and Wednesday were devoted to more tests and prolonged re0hydration on an IV. On Thursday, a meeting was held with the doctors. The good news is that the lung cancer has not yet spread and, in fact, some lesions have decreased. The plan is to return to Florida, like life as normal, and in 2 months, get another Catscan. If things remain ok, more time will pass; if things deteriorate, he will return to the N.I.H .and be accepted into their experimental program. Pastor returned to Maytown late Thursday night. Thanks for your prayers and understanding.
