THANKS…

…to Dick Baker, for tending to the problem with our church furnace on Tuesday.

…to everyone who helped with Hazel Bachert’s Funeral Service and reception – especially Alice, who organized the kitchen crew and food.

…to Bob Long for cleaning up leaves around the church.

THE SYMPATHY OF THE CONGREGATION…

…is extended to the Family of Hazel Bachert, Glenn, Carol, Amanda, Matt (and Annie Hollinger, too!) on the occasion of our sister’s death, on Christmas Eve, only minutes before her 84th birthday on Christmas Day.  May Easter’s promise bless one and all with Christmas Peace.

HELP!

Immediately after today’s service (or as soon as you can return to church after changing your clothes and grabbing a bite to eat) we must take down our lovely (but dry) Christmas decorations for another year.  We need lots of helpers to do the dismantling, packing, and cleaning.  Please be one of them.  Lots of helpers mean doing the work in 2 hours; few helpers might mean 4 hours.  Please help.

BIBLE STUDY AT LONGWOOD MANOR…

…resumes on Wednesday at 10 AM.  Join us for 60 minutes with God’s word.

NOW IS A GREAT TIME…

…to join our choir.  We have brand new music to learn and you won’t have to “catch-up” to the veteran singers.  Jin us on Wednesday night!

SIGN UP SHEETS…

…hanging in the tower narthex inviting your sponsorship of altar flowers and bulletins in 2006.  Take a Sunday or two and help our church pay its operating costs at the same time you honor a special person or event.  Altar flower sponsorships are available for the last two Sundays of January and February, as well as lots or other dates.  Bulletin sponsorships are un-claimed for most of the year, starting next Sunday.  Questions?  See JoNan.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN…

…of the next Annual Congregational Meeting, which will occur immediately after the Morning Worship Service on Sunday, January 15, 2006.  Snow date:  January, 22, 2006.  All confirmed, communing, and contributing members are urged to attend the meeting.  The agenda is routine but important:  the approval of a budget, the approval of the rolls, and the receipt of many reports.
